StrongMinds’ Solution Selected at MIT’s Solve
Solve is Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) initiative to bring together problem-solvers to tackle the world’s most pressing problems through open innovation and partnership.
Over 950 applications were submitted and 68 were chosen as finalists to pitch their solution to a panel of expert judges in New York City on Sunday, September 17. Sean Mayberry, Founder and Executive Director, pitched StrongMinds’ work as the solution to the depression epidemic in Africa. He was selected as a Solver in this year’s competition – one of only a handful in the Brain Health Global Challenge.
Sean shared, “We are grateful that Solve saw depression in Africa as an important global challenge and recognized StrongMinds’ program as an effective solution to it.”
StrongMinds is excited to be a part of the MIT Solve community of leaders and changemakers committed to partnering together to pilot and implement solutions.
